Olympic Room. Donors needed! Tacoma Public Library and Bloodworks Northwest are hosting a 2026 blood drive. Donating blood helps patients with treatments, procedures and surgeries. The days between Memorial Day and Labor Day are known as the “100 Deadliest Days of Summer”. During this time, local trauma centers treat more patients whose recovery often depends on multiple units of blood. At the same time, blood donations typically decline around the holidays, creating an urgent need for donors across the Pacific Northwest. Patients rely on over 1,000 volunteer blood donors each day and currently, there are not enough appointments booked in the coming weeks to meet that need. Make an appointment today and your donation will support emergency care, cancer treatments, and planned surgeries. Visit bloodworksnw.org/giveblood or scan the QR code to book your one-hour appointment. Photo ID and appointments required. No one under the age of 16 permitted on site. All donations go to patients in the PNW.
