About this event

REGISTER EVENT FAQs | STAY WITH US Because it's a lovely time to get in the holiday spirit... Learn how to create your own sustainable wrapping paper and gift tags, just in time for the holiday season! Block Printing is one of the oldest styles of printmaking, used for thousands of years on paper and fabric alike. During this workshop you will design & carve your very own "block" for printing on Kraft paper and gift tags. You'll learn how to transfer images, design your own, and gain an introduction to the different kinds of supplies and tools that can be used in this exciting process. Participants can expect to create & carve at least one unique block and leave with original prints on various paper sheets & gift tags and take their stamp home to use over and over! No previous experience necessary. All materials provided but, printing ink can get messy, so I highly suggest bringing an apron! Space is very limited! ABOUT MOLLY C. MENG WEBSITE | FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM Molly C. Meng studied literature with a personal minor in collecting other people's lives. An obsession with old ledgers, vintage photos. and every single discarded book that exists, her work reimagines the untold stories behind the otherwise forgotten items of every day. A self-taught artist, the medium of collage in both paper and textiles is Molly's dominant form of communicating. She successfully weaves the elements of ephemera and storytelling into each piece she creates. The spectacular beauty of the ordinary is elevated with detail in her work. Molly's work has shown nationally in both museums and galleries located in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Wisconsin and Montana. She has produced large scale commissions for interior designers, personal homes and a number of Prometheus apartment complexes in Northern California. Other than creating her own artwork, Molly helps adults and young people lean into their unique talent by teaching creative workshops around the U.S. as well…
