Join Emily Biegas and Sala Wanetick, the creators of Block Party: Detroit Edition to celebrate their latest crossword collection, Block Party: Michigan Edition. Whether you solve the New York Times crossword daily in pen or are simply “crossword curious,” this event has something for you. Spend an afternoon celebrating Michigan through the joy of puzzling. Expect East Lansing deep cuts (Sala is an MSU alum), word games, and tons of audience participation. No puzzle experience necessary. The event will be followed by a book signing. Copies of Block Party: Michigan Edition will be available for purchase. About the Authors: Longtime friends turned collaborators, Sala Wanetick and Emily Biegas have written puzzles for The New York Times, LA Times, USA Today, AVCX, Andrew McMeel's Universal Syndicate, Apple News+, Defector, and Puzzmo. As lifelong Detroiters, they were drawn to create something made uniquely for locals (because we all know that Detroit hustles harder). Emily is from Harper Woods and Sala is from Southfield - they now live in Hamtramck and Hazel Park.
