Immerse yourself in District vibes throughout the library with live performances, interactive art, DJs, culinary experiences, and the chance to explore everything the DC Public Library has to offer. You can even sign up for a DC Public Library Card while you’re here! The Block Party at MLK will be held rain or shine. MLK Main Stage at 10th & G The evening opens on 10th & G with a high-energy main stage featuring live and interactive performances. Hosted throughout the night by Poet Taylor, Mike Brooks, and Skiba with beats by DJ Remii and DJ Quicksilva starting at 6 p.m., the line-up includes: 8 p.m. | Chuck Brown Band 9 p.m. | The Kim Michelle Experience 10 p.m. | Vybe Band 11 p.m. | Scooby da Godson Featuring Sirius & Co 12 a.m. | Black Alley Local Creator Gallery You can support local creatives as they share their work at our vendor tables while enjoying a variety of activities and entertainers, including street performers, henna artists, button-making, paint and sit, and others. District Vibes Exhibit and Great Hall Stage See the District Vibes Exhibit brought to life at the Great Hall Stage with beats by DJ Jealousy and live performances, including 7 p.m. | Tribute to Marvin Gaye presented by JusPaul 7:30 p.m. | Orville the Poet 8 p.m. | Tribute to Johnny Gill and Frankie Beverley presented by JusPaul 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. | Line Dancing with DMV City Slickerz 9 and 10 p.m. | Step with the Divine Nine with Kennedy Ross, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc, Alpha Chapter and Terrance Reese, Jr., Alpha Phi Alpha, Beta Chapter Art Studio and Vinyl Village Explore the Art Studio, poetry readings, and live jazz performances in addition to a special vinyl experience where rotating DJs spin curated sets across genres curated by artist and educator Brian Bailey.
