This is a new class designed for the first time bladesmith who only has one day to make their first knife. In this class we will be forging high carbon blocks of steel into a very traditional knife commonly made by blacksmiths. This class covers basic drawing out, scrolling, and beveling using hammers, anvils, tongs and a hydraulic forging press! We will heat treat and sharpen your knives using angle grinders and belt grinders to create useful, beautiful, and educational tools to add to your toolbox or countertop. Wear cotton clothes, closed toed shoes, and dress for heat around the forge. You can bring or order food for intermission time around the halfway point. Cold beverages are available in vending machines or bring your own. Ages 18 and up Max class size 5 students ( plus one teacher) Cost: $175 \*REFUND POLICY: You must cancel your RSVP at least 3 DAYS before the day of the event in order to receive a refund or reschedule.
