About this event
Calling all readers! The Bixby Book Club meets the second Tuesday of every month at 6pm. We read a variety of books, spanning the genres of contemporary, literary, and historical fiction, as well as non-fiction, biography, and classics. Didn’t read or finish the book? No worries! This is a no-judgement book club. New members are always welcome. This meeting will be held in the library’s Community Room, if available, or the Vermont Room. Plenty of copies of books are available at the circulation desk for all who would like to read one- for those attending book club as well as those reading on their own. They can also be reserved by emailing Martha at Martha.Sanborn@bixbylibrary.org View a list of 2026 reads here. The book for October is Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. Book Description: Obsessed university student Victor Frankenstein creates a being by reanimating the dead, but when it opens its eyes he flees, leaving behind a being that craves affection and acceptance, but is reviled instead. The creature, vowing revenge, pursues Victor to the ends of the earth.
