Bites and Bits of History

This Season in History: Yuletide Stories of the Valley’s Past Step back in time and experience the holiday season as it was celebrated throughout the Mahoning Valley in years gone by. As part of the America 250-Ohio Commission’s monthly theme, “Future Ohio: Projecting Ohio in 2076,” Museum Educator Dante Bernard will explore how understanding the past can help us imagine the future. With a little holiday spirit, this presentation will take attendees on a journey through the Mahoning Valley’s bygone Christmas and holiday seasons, sharing stories and traditions from the community’s past. Join us for a festive look at local history and discover how the holiday season has changed—and what memories have remained—throughout the years.
