Billy Strings has rapidly become one of the most electrifying figures in modern bluegrass, known for blending traditional roots music with elements of rock, psychedelia, and improvisational jam. A virtuoso flatpicker raised in Michigan, he was heavily influenced by his stepfather’s love of bluegrass and classic country, while also drawing inspiration from artists like Doc Watson and Bill Monroe. His breakout album, Home, earned him a Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album and helped introduce a new generation to the genre.
