About this event
Presented by More Art, this solo intervention brings together performance and reflection as artist George Emilio Sanchez adapts Acknowledgement & Reclamation, created with artist Patty Ortiz and commissioned and produced by More Art in 2026. Moving from the voice of Nahuavia, Sanchez’s performative alter ego, into his own voice as artist, he shifts from provocation to reflection, considering what reclamation might demand beyond recognition alone. The intervention culminates in a single question—If acknowledgment looks backward, what does reclamation ask us to do now?—which moves from artist to audience, opening the performance into a brief collective reflection.
