Join the Berryessa Book Club on the third Friday of the month for a fun and engaging literary discussion. In October, around Halloween, we will read Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus by Mary Shelley. Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus is one of the best-known works of English literature. The novel has set a path for modern Western literature, particularly for the Romantic movement and the genre of Gothic horror. The story of Doctor Frankenstein and his monstrous creature has profoundly influenced popular culture and, 200 years after its publication, has become more relevant than ever.
