Beginning tango dance with Felipe and Ayano (series of three classes)

Felipe Martinez and Ayano Yoneda are back to teach tango in Berkeley! Felipe and Ayano teach challenging, fun classes where everyone is encouraged to lead and follow. In Tango 101, they introduce lead-follow technique and the fundamental structures of tango. No partner necessary; the teachers encourage people to switch partners throughout the class. These classes are taught using the terms “leaders” and “followers,” and are inclusive to queer, trans, and non-binary people. Wednesdays, June 10th, 17th, and 24th 6:45 pm: check-in 7:00-8:00 pm beginning tango 8:00-8:30 pm practica We urge beginners to sign up for the complete series of three classes, but drop-ins are also welcome. $60 general admission (series of three classes) $25 general admission (single class) $15 student with ID (single class) We accept cash and venmo at the door. On the same dates, Felipe and Ayano teach intermediate tango at 8:30 pm. The intermediate class is geared towards people who have been dancing for at least three months (12 tango classes).
