Beginning and intermediate tango dance classes with Carrie Field

Tango teacher Carrie Field will be teaching at the Berkeley City Club for three dates only! The beginner classes will focus on basic tango steps and moves. The teacher leads us through tango exercises and invites us to explore how the body moves. The intermediate classes will offer individual and partner exercises using common tango movements and patterns to offer anatomical, mechanical and sensation insight. Carrie’s classes are influenced by her experience in Pilates, Gyrotonics and Yoga. She writes, “I hope to offer insight that enhances physical presence with yourself and your partner. These tango classes will be influenced by Tango Inform, which is a collection of exercises to prepare the body specifically for tango.” No partner necessary. No experience necessary for the beginner class. Sign up for all three dates if you can! The beginner class is open to all levels. The intermediate series is geared towards people who have been dancing for at least three months (12 tango classes). $60 general admission (series of three classes, beg. or int.) $25 general admission (single class, beg. or int.) $15 student with ID (single class, beg. or int.)
