Beginner Chinese – Class 3: Numbers

In this class, we will focus on numbers in Mandarin and how to use them in everyday conversation. Agenda(2 hours) • Review of greetings, introductions, and tones to reinforce pronunciation • Learn numbers 0–10 with clear, guided pronunciation practice • Build numbers 11–100 using simple and consistent patterns • Focused tone practice with commonly mispronounced numbers (4, 7, and 9) • Structured counting drills to build confidence and accuracy • A short break • Learn how to ask and answer age: 你几岁？我__岁 • Practice phone numbers and real-life number usage • Listening exercises to improve number recognition • Interactive group game to reinforce speed and comprehension • Partner conversations using numbers in simple questions and responses No prior class is required, but attending previous sessions will help you feel more comfortable and get the most out of the series!
