About this event

Fulton County Arts and Culture presents an Art Workshop for adults and families with kids ages 10 and up. This workshop centers on a commissioned 360° VR experience documenting The Casspir Project by artist Ralph Ziman, created when the exhibition was hosted at the Emma Darnell Aviation Museum. The 15-minute immersive experience includes sound and video drawn from Ziman’s work in South Africa during the civil resistance against apartheid. Following the VR screening, Community Partnerships North Public Art Education Coordinator Miranda Smith will lead a hands-on workshop inspired by the project’s visual language. Participants will: Create beaded patterns using needle and thread Apply these designs to pre-printed 3D models of insects Build a small sculptural object to take home, echoing the beaded animal skulls and skeletons featured in the Casspir Project
