About this event
What happens after the flames have long since passed at the park from a planned burn? Join park staff on a hike to Azalea and Oak trails, where our prescribed burn(s) have taken place. See what happens months after a burn, and what benefits there are from prescribed burns in this landscape. Look for a new plant growth, wildlife activity, changes to the forest floor and other signs of land recovery. Meet at the Nature Center. Wear closed toed shoes and bring water, snacks too if you’d like. Date: October 8 | 6 – 8 p.m. Cost: Free Click here for tickets!
