Barn Quilting Workshop | Johnson College in Scranton Saturday, August 22, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM Create a colorful piece of folk art at the Barn Quilting Workshop at Johnson College in Scranton on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This hands-on workshop is part of the college’s WAVE (Workforce Advancement & Value-Added Education) Workshop Series. Participants will design and hand-paint a 12-inch-by-12-inch barn quilt inspired by traditional quilt block patterns. Attendees can choose their own pattern and color palette to create a one-of-a-kind piece for display on a home, porch, or shed. All workshop materials are provided, though participants are asked to bring a hair dryer to help with the painting process. The workshop costs $75 per person, and registration is available online at johnson.edu/workshops. Each participant will leave with a completed barn quilt and a new creative skill.
