BARK FOR LIFE American Cancer Society Fundraiser Celebrate a Happy Howl-o-ween with your dog at the American Cancer Society (ACS) fundraiser, BARK FOR LIFE, presented by Relay For Life of Santa Clarita Valley. The event is on Saturday, October 17, from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Canyon Country Community Center (18410 Sierra Hwy, Santa Clarita, 91351). In honor of the spirit of Halloween, family-friendly costumes for humans and dogs are welcomed and encouraged. BARK FOR LIFE celebrates the canine companionship and caregiving qualities of our four-legged friends while raising funds for life-saving cancer research and local patient support programs. The family-friendly event features music, vendors, food trucks, photo ops, games, contests (including a costume parade with many categories of dog and human winners and a lick-off), adoption opportunities, agility course, and raffles. Online registration is encouraged and is available at SCVBark.org. Registration includes a free goody bag. In-person registration begins at 9:30am on Saturday, October 17 at the Canyon Country Community Center. Guests can register one dog for $15, and $10 for each additional dog. Guests without a dog are free to come and enjoy the activities at no charge. BARK FOR LIFE is a nationwide fundraising event for the American Cancer Society and a kick-off event for Relay For Life of Santa Clarita Valley, to be held on May 1, 2027, at Central Park.
