Bargue Drawing

With Pete Anderson Six-Week Session on October 29, November 5, 12, 19, December 3, 10 Thursdays from 5–8 PM Learn the fundamentals of drawing through the traditional Bargue method. Students will begin by working from 2D printed plates, progressing from simple outlines to more complex plaster casts of classical statues. This step-by-step approach teaches students to work from general to specific, first establishing major angles and shapes before refining proportions, details, light, and shadow. Bargue drawing is an excellent way to train the eye, build strong foundational skills, and develop a better understanding of proportion and value. These exercises are designed for both beginners and advanced students and provide a strong foundation for transitioning to drawing from life.
