Barefoot Autism Challenge 10th Anniversary
In recognition of Autism Awareness Month in April, we invite visitors to join us in the Barefoot Autism Challenge! The challenge, created by Des Moines local Tyler Leech, is about going barefoot as a sensory activity for autism awareness. Take off your shoes to immerse yourself in the environment and enjoy a guided visit through the museum with Tyler and Jill Featherstone, Senior Director of Museum Learning, Engagement, and Community Access. Free; registration required. Tyler encourages participants to spread the word and challenge friends to go barefoot for autism awareness using #barefootautismchallenge on social media platforms.
