We’re teaming up with Pearl's Books Silent Book Club and Libro.fm to host a Banned Books Read-In to protest book censorship. Join us as we read and take action to fight book bans! Attendees will receive a free audio copy of either Banned Together: Our Fight for Readers' Rights by Ashley Hope Pérez or How to Defend Books and Why: Book Bans and How We Fight Them by Danny Caine. About Banned Books Week Banned Books Week is a national yearly celebration of the freedom to read; it highlights works that have been banned or challenged in schools, libraries and communities. It is sponsored by several organizations, including the American Library Association, American Society of Journalists and Authors, Freedom to Read Foundation, and more. It is endorsed by the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress. This year’s celebration is October 4 - 10.
