Banned Book Brunch | Black Scranton Project Cultural Center in Scranton Saturday, October 10, 2026 | 11 AM–1 PM Banned Book Brunch takes place at the Black Scranton Project Cultural Center in Scranton, PA, on Saturday, October 10, from 11 AM–1 PM as part of the 2026 Scranton Fringe Festival. Held in tandem with Banned Books Week, this free event celebrates stories that have been challenged, restricted or removed from shelves. The gathering also highlights the freedom to encounter ideas that provoke, inspire and expand understanding. Guests can enjoy light brunch fare while browsing works and wares from local authors. The program will include selected readings from banned and frequently challenged works. Attendees can also connect with festival artists, staff, volunteers and members of the community. The event is free and open to all. Banned Book Brunch offers book lovers and the Scranton community a welcoming way to celebrate literature during the Scranton Fringe Festival.
