@ For 50 years, the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour has brought audiences stories of adventure, exploration, and mountain culture from some of the wildest places around the world. Now, for the first time, the World Tour is coming to Emporia and the Flint Hills. Experience the first-ever Emporia showing of the Banff Mountain Film Festival at the Emporia Granada Theatre on October 3. The evening features six diverse films highlighting cycling, skiing, climbing, expeditions, and the people who pursue adventure in all kinds of places. The 2025/26 World Tour program includes films ranging from short stories to longer features, offering a look at incredible landscapes, athletes, and adventures from around the world. The Emporia event will also feature the Audience Choice Award and Best Film On Mountain Sport, giving attendees a chance to take part in the festival experience. Doors open at 6:00 pm, with films beginning at 7:00 pm. Seating is general admission, with seating available at first-floor tables and in the balcony. This first-ever visit to Emporia is a chance to experience one of the world’s longest-running mountain film tours right here in the Flint Hills. Whether you’re an avid outdoor adventurer, a cyclist, skier, climber, or just enjoy a great film, come experience the stories that have made Banff a fixture in outdoor film for five decades.
