About this event

Meeting Room 1, Meeting Room 2. Please join us for a presentation by Dean Kendall, a Master Wildlife Conservationist with the State Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. The bald eagle is best known as the national emblem of the United States of America. It was chosen for this honor in 1782 by the Second Continental Congress because the species is unique to North America. They became so endangered that many considered whether to replace them as America's National Symbol. Kendall will discuss these magnificent birds of prey, share a slide show on their resurging population to Connecticut and highlight their valuable contribution so our ecosystem.
