A monthly program at the Brooklyn Public Library where we revisit some of the best (and worst) horror films ever shown at drive-ins, double features, and midnight screenings. To celebrate the Halloween season, this month we're hosting weekly screenings from John Carpenter's legendary Halloween series. Tonight's Showing: Halloween (1978) Directed by John Carpenter On the fifteen year anniversary of the brutal murder that put him away, Michael Myers returns to terroize the sleepy town of Haddonfield on Halloween night. Just in time for the titular holiday, we're watching the classic that spawned twelve sequels and helped introduce the slasher genre to the mainstream. Whether it's your first time or your 1000th, come experience the terror of the night He came home... The movie will start promptly at 6:00. Registrations are appreciated!
