The Aline B. Carter Foundation will host a talk by acclaimed San Antonio architect Ted Flato at the Maverick Carter House, 119 Taylor St. He and David Lake, cofounders of Lake/Flato Architects, received the American Institute of Architects’ Gold Medal award in 2024, their profession’s highest honor. Past recipients include Frank Lloyd Wright, Santiago Calatrava, and other world-renowned architects. Please come to learn about the only Texas architects to win the AIA Gold Medal in its 119-year history. The lecture is free and open to the public. Doors open 5 pm, lecture 6 pm. Food and drinks catered by Pharm Table.
