Autumn Vocal Workshop: Ya Gotta Have Friends

Verdugo Hills Chorus presents: **"Ya Gotta Have Friends,"** a seven-week vocal workshop! Come stand right in the middle of the harmony... it's way more fun than scrolling your phone! **What you'll learn:** * posture: the basis for all good singing * breath control: the fuel for singing * phonation: creating the sounds of music * resonation: creating good vocal vibes * articulation: the words that communicate * fundamentals: vowels, diphthongs, and consonants * singing with energy and dynamics * singing with artistry The workshop begins on Wednesday, September 30th, at 7:00 pm at Verdugo Hills Chorus's rehearsal hall at the Elks Lodge in San Gabriel and includes a performance with the chorus on November 15th. Songs for the workshop include Bill Withers' **"Lean on Me"**; the Beatles' and Bette Midler's **"With a Little Help from My Friends/Ya Gotta Have Friends"** medley; and Maroon 5's **"Memories"**; and more if you're up for it! **Please register by September 22nd** to reserve your spot and so we can have materials ready for when we meet you.
