Austin Staples: Afternoon Show at the Continental Club!

This is stop 3 of the Austin Staples series where we visit things that make Austin what it is. These events will be focused on visiting places that have been established for a long time and help keep Austin weird. Everyone around here probably knows or has been to SoCo—aka South Congress—and the Continental Club is a must visit! It has been open since 1955 and has had many notable artists grace its stage. We’ll be going to the Earl Poole show that is every Saturday afternoon. Cover is free! The doors open at 3:00, so that is when I’ll get there, and the band starts at 3:30. Regarding parking, SoCo can be tricky. There are paid garages you can go to as well as paid street parking. If you’re willing to walk, you can find free parking further away. The RSVP list for this one is small, since the venue is small, so please RSVP with intention. See you there!
