Atlantic City Ballet Presents Sleeping Beauty
The Sleeping Beauty is a timeless ballet based on the beloved fairy tale by Charles Perrault. It tells the story of Princess Aurora, who is cursed at birth by the wicked fairy Carabosse. The curse foretells that Aurora will prick her finger on a spindle and fall into a deep, unending sleep. However, the benevolent Lilac Fairy intervenes, softening the curse so that the princess will not die but instead sleep for one hundred years, awaiting the kiss of true love to awaken her.
