Artist's Corner: Berry Good

Stamp a cute cork cherry print inspired by Cézanne’s Still Life with Plate of Cherries. French artist Paul Cézanne is called the “father of modern art” because he pushed the traditional boundaries of art and inspired other iconic artists like Matisse and Picasso to explore color, shape, and space in a whole new way. Cézanne’s still life paintings, which were often of fruits, urge us to look closer and find the beauty in everyday objects. Don’t miss out on your chance to see the famous painter’s work in Verdant: French Masterworks from the National Gallery of Art. Visit the Artist’s Corner in the Family Interactive Gallery Studio, which focuses on artists from around the world. The Artist’s Corner offers young guests an opportunity to explore a variety of materials and mediums to create art inspired by the featured artist.
