Artist-in-Residence: Auyon Mukharji

Auyon Mukharji is a musician, writer, and Berkshires enthusiast. He is a member of the indie-folk band Darlingside, with whom he has played more than a thousand shows across the globe. He is thrilled to play his first-ever ticketed solo show at Studio 9 this October. Praise for Auyon’s band Darlingside: “A four-man harmony group… a sort of neo-barbershop quartet. Sometimes the sun breaks out in their harmonies and it feels like 1965 with David Crosby and The Byrds.” – The New Yorker “A ‘must-see’ act… locomotive folk-pop confections so richly executed it’s hard to tell if it’s one voice or 12.” – Rolling Stone “[T]he sumptuous vibe and often enigmatic concepts combine for another distinctive offering from one of contemporary folk music’s most provocative acts.” – American Songwriter on Darlingside’s 2023 album Everything Is Alive
