🍂 Featured Artist: Michele Cooper This September, we’re delighted to feature the beautiful watercolor work of Michele Cooper in our windows for Art Walk. Her fall-inspired show includes luminous forest scenes, leaf studies, and landscapes that capture the color and feeling of the season. Michele has been teaching watercolor in the Pacific Northwest for more than 35 years, sharing her love of drawing, painting, and travel sketching with students locally and internationally since 1979. Her work has been featured in North Light Books publications, and she is the author of two books on travel sketching. She also has a special connection to Edmonds, with one of her greeting card collections featuring scenes from our own community. Come see Michele’s work throughout September, and meet her in person at ARTspot during Art Walk on Thursday, September 17, from 5-8pm. Want to learn from Michele, too? She’ll be teaching Watercolor Autumn Leaves & Trees, a two-day workshop at ARTspot on October 4 & 11. This hands-on workshop is a chance to explore the beautiful colors, shapes, and textures of fall while learning from an experienced watercolor teacher. It’s a lovely opportunity to see her work, meet the artist, and then spend a couple of afternoons painting with her!Join us every third Thursday of the month for Art Walk. Each month we feature a local artist, with their work displayed in our Main Street windows all month long. On Art Walk night, come meet the artist in person, see them creating work live, and learn more about their process. It’s a wonderful way to discover new artists, connect with the creative community, and experience art up close in downtown Edmonds.
