Most people don’t think about children having arthritis but nearly 300,000 children served by the Arthritis Foundation in the US have some form of this painful disease. Art for Arthritis is unlike any other fundraiser in Cincinnati. It is designed to empower and inspire children who are afflicted with juvenile arthritis. Children should be able to enjoy the simple pleasure of creative expression free from the pain of juvenile arthritis. To grasp a favorite crayon while adding the final beams of vibrant violet to a rainbow masterpiece. To mold a piece of cool, soft clay into a keepsake for Mom's special birthday gift. To entwine fuzzy pipe cleaners into a creation inspired by Saturday morning space-age cartoons. To stroke wispy clouds onto a canvas depicting a beach scene from cherished vacation memories. It's not supposed to hurt. Art for Arthritis is a celebration of these children - and brings us a step closer to a world free of pain. To achieve this mission, children with arthritis are paired with local professional artists to create masterpieces that are sold in a live auction at the main event. In addition, Art for Arthritis features live auction packages including trips, VIP experiences, sporting events, and more. Attendees can look forward to an evening of dinner, drinks, a silent auction and an exciting live auction featuring the artwork the children and artists have created together.
