Art for Adults - Tile & Style: Create Your Own Colorful Mosaic

About this event

Meeting Room. Bring your creativity to life as you arrange colorful tiles into a mosaic design that's uniquely yours. Discover the joy of mosaic art in this hands-on workshop where you'll use tacky glue and vibrant tiles to design a personalized piece on a wooden circle or rectangle. No experience needed--just a willingness to play with color, pattern, and texture. This relaxed beginner-friendly session offers a chance to explore your artistic side, enjoy the satisfaction of placing each tile into a pleasing arrangement, and leave with a finished mosaic that reflects your own style. Important Notes: Wear old clothing. Bring a cardboard box or other container with lid to take your artwork home. This moderate-difficulty activity involves gripping and placing small tiles (as small as 1/4") and squeezing tacky-glue bottles. Participants with limited wrist mobility, grip strength, or finger dexterity may find some steps challenging, but everyone is welcome to work at their own pace or use provided tweezers or easier-grip bottles. For adults 18 and over. Registration is required. The facilitator for this workshop will be Library staff member, Theresa. If your plans change after registering, kindly cancel your spot to allow someone from the waiting list to join—we appreciate your consideration! --> --> --> Parking Info: If the Library Square lot is full, free parking is available at the corner of South Broad Street and Calhoun Street, next to the Salem Courthouse. Please note: The lot between the Library and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church is private—unauthorized vehicles may be towed at owner's expense.
