Art for Adults ON REPEAT!

Meeting Room. Choose Your Creative Path: Zentangle® Art or Artful Unwinding Join us for the first session in our Art for Adults ON REPEAT! series, featuring two popular art techniques that have been offered at the library in the past. Whether you're trying one of these creative practices for the first time or returning to enjoy it again, this session offers an opportunity to relax, experiment, and create. Participants will choose between Zentangle® Art or Artful Unwinding while supplies last! Come early to pick the art technique you would like to try. In the Zentangle option, artists will create intricate black-and-white patterns on a traditional Zentangle tile using fine-tipped pens and sample pattern guides for inspiration. (See sample at top left.) In the Artful Unwinding option, artists will work on a pre-painted watercolor background, adding doodles, patterns, line work, and highlights with black and white pens to create a unique finished piece. (See sample at right.) This is a creative exploration program with minimal instruction. Because time is limited, participants are encouraged to browse library books, videos, or online examples of these techniques before attending to help decide which art form they would like to pursue during class. Examples and materials will be provided, and no artistic experience is necessary. If time permits, participants are welcome to try both techniques during the session - as long as supplies are available. Duration: 1½ hours Skill Level: Beginner-friendly All materials provided but supplies are limited - come early to choose which technique you want to try! Difficulty Level: Easy This program requires participants to hold and use drawing pens for much of the session. No prior art experience is needed, and designs may be as simple or detailed as desired. Foam grip tubing will be available for those who would benefit from additional comfort or support while drawing. Wear old clothing as we will be using ink pens that may stain…
