Art Display by Lynda Edwards

Library Lobby. The paintings on display this month are by local artist, Lynda Edwards. Lynda Edwards is a multidisciplinary artist and instructor, and the founder of Art & Asanas, a residential studio in Ringwood, NJ. With over 30 years of experience, she creates bold, impressionistic landscapes, city scenes, portraits, still lifes, and mixed media works that often explore environmental concerns, humanitarian themes, and the resilience of the human spirit. Her work features rich color, expressive brushwork, and luminous details using iridescent and pearl powders, foil accents, and layered techniques in acrylic, oil, watercolor, and mixed media. Lynda also restores and repairs paintings, breathing new life into cherished works of art. Through Art & Asanas, she shares her passion by teaching youth, teens, and adults, combining art instruction with mindfulness, light stretching, and a screen-free environment. Her mission is to cultivate creativity in the community and to use art as a path to confidence, connection, and well-being. "Cultivating creativity in our community with art and mindfulness." Lynda
