About this event
The Commons. As autumn settles across the Southwest, stories linger in the shadows of Arizona’s rugged past. Gathered around the fire on October 21, an evening of Halloween storytelling will explore the strange, legendary, and often mysterious history of the Wild West. Sedona Poet Laureate and professional storyteller Gary Every brings Arizona folklore to life through tales of Mussolini’s Catfish, the Camel’s Gold, the ghost of stagecoach bandit El Tejano, roadrunners and T. Rex, and Sedona’s own The Monkey and the Coyote. Blending history, legend, and humor, these stories offer a glimpse into the characters, mysteries, and unexpected twists that have shaped the Arizona imagination for generations.
