About this event
Off-site. This is part of a five week commitment. Participants are asked to attend all four instructional sessions and the evening art reception on November 5 at the KPC Art Gallery. Anyone is welcome to come to the Art Exhibition! Wednesdays in October: Explore the art of making handmade paper, natural inks, and dyes in this hands on five week series with KPC Art Director Josh Ostraff! Participants will learn traditional techniques, experiment with natural materials, and create unique projects along the way. The first four weeks will feature hands on instruction in papermaking, indigo dyeing fabrics, and creating natural inks and dyes. Participants will also create botanical paper art to be featured in Kenai Peninsula College’s Arctic Seeds, Northern Stories exhibition.
