About this event
Create a sculptural steel pendant inspired by the angled corners, curved lines, and other architectural elements of the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts. Work with a skilled metalsmith to manipulate steel into a wearable or decorative object. Through expert artistic instruction, learn foundational metalsmithing techniques of scoring, shaping, and soldering. Your steel pendant will be finished to reflect soft and modern design qualities. The Windgate Art School is generously supported by the Windgate Foundation with additional support from Sherry Worthen in memory of George Worthen. The Windgate Art School’s Reduced Tuition Program is supported by Michael Laughter. Reduced tuition is automatically applied to all classes through 2026. Artwork by Myriam Saavedra.
