Architectural Gems of Philadelphia Neighborhoods: Gayborhood

2.5-3 hours, 2-3 miles, brisk pace between stops, best buildings in Philadelphia's Gayborhood, lunch afterward if there's interest. We are continuing our hikes to check out the most impressive architectural gems in a series of Philadelphia neighborhoods. For this one we will hike through the Gayborhood, which sits between the Washington Square West and Rittenhouse neighborhoods. Among the highlights will be the city's most beautiful building in the Renaissance Revival style, the city's most beautiful building in the Romanesque Revival style, and (best of all) the city's most ornate fire escape! As always, no knowledge of architecture is needed . . . just an interest in seeing beautiful places and a willingness to stay with the group. GENERAL RULES: ••Hike at my pace. ••Hike lengths are approx.: allow 30 min - 1 hour extra. ••Donation requested.
