It’s Fall, Ya’ll! We’re so excited to spend a sunny Autumn afternoon out in the yard. Fill a bag of local farm fresh apples, enjoy a cold or warm cider and fun apple drinks, and mosey through the vendor market while listening to live music. Free to attend. Family Friendly. This event proudly benefits the Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project. The son of a classical pianist mother and a harmonica-playing father, music has been a constant for Ben Balmer. Balmer’s early listening was as eclectic as it gets and encompassed everything from Bela Bartok to The J. Geils Band. Over time, his musical influences expanded to include Fiona Apple, Taj Mahal, and Tom Waits. He’d play along to his dad’s blues records, especially Sonnyboy Williamson and Paul Butterfield. Following his dad’s lead, Balmer took harmonica lessons from Grammy Award-winning player, Peter “Madcat” Ruth and has even shared the stage playing harmonica for Motown legend, Martha Reeves. ‘The Mule’ – Tasting Room Say hello to The Mule – a full-service bar/event space in the home of Devil’s Foot Beverage’s production facility.
