About this event
This is a moderate 7.1 mile hike with 900 feet gain (7,720-8,300). A section of the hike will be quiet for forest mindfulness period. Located at the southern tip of the Sangre de Cristo Range, the hike starts on a ridge in the ponderosa forest, descends to the canyon bottom, then to a ridgeline, and then on an old logging road that meets up with the trailhead. Please, no dogs, wear layers, bring rain gear, and bring water and food for a short lunch.
