In this interactive workshop, DJ and producer dk darkly breaks down the remix process, exploring its technical, creative, and business dimensions. The session moves through identifying key, tempo, and groove, sourcing stems, selecting samples, and balancing new ideas with the source material. dk darkly also unpacks the logistics of releasing an unofficial remix in a copyright-mad world, drawing on his own Ableton projects to illustrate the process throughout. Whether attendees have never attempted a remix or have been refining their craft for years, they'll leave with a practical toolkit for their next project. 🚀 dk darkly dk darkly is the alias of Collin McLaughlin, an Austin-based electronic music producer best known for his ambitious "hybrid mashup" remix projects. His most recent project, *TOGETHER*, was featured on Bandcamp's top 50 best-selling electronic releases for three consecutive weeks in 2026. He has been producing music for over 20 years, blending genres like French house, hyperpop, funk, and prog rock.
