Join long-distance cyclist, architect, and professor Luis Valle as he commemorates the 250th anniversary of the Anza Expedition by retracing the expedition's 1,400-mile trail from Horcasitas, Sonora, to San Francisco, CA, on his bicycle. Today recognized as the Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail, this route follows the 1775-76 epic journey of more than 240 men, women, and children to establish the first non-indigenous settlement at San Francisco Bay. Through Anza 250: A Documentary Film, Valle uses his personal journey to explore the complex history of the trail while introspectively connecting to the past via his love of bicycling and sketching.
