Annual MCL Halloween Party

About this event

Join us for a night of dead-delicious food, creepy costumes, spooky party games, and haunting tunes! Our annual Halloween Party is back, and we’re filling the library with tricks, treats, and plenty of surprises for all ages. Come in costume, bring the whole family, and get ready for a frightfully fun evening with your neighbors. Costume Parade & Contest Show off your best look in our Costume Parade, beginning at 6 pm! It’s open to all ages (costumes required), and our judges will be watching closely to choose the winners of the Costume Contest. Prizes will be awarded in three categories: ages 0 to 5, 6 to 12, and 13+. Games & Races Test your speed and skill with a Sack Race, Mummy Race, Apple Eating Contest, Musical Gravestones, and Pin the Face on the Jack-o’-Lantern. Brave souls can also try our “laser beam” obstacle course, crack the code in our escape room, or follow the clues on a library-wide scavenger hunt. Crafts & Creations Decorate your own trick-or-treat bag, design a one-of-a-kind pumpkin, and mix up something mysterious at our potion crafting station. Spooky Surprises Peek into your future with a tarot card reading, get your face painted, reach into our sensory touch tanks (if you dare!), and strike a pose in the photo booth. Don’t miss the Halloween-themed game built by our very own after-school coding club using Scratch! Dead Delicious Food Refuel between activities with deadly delicious concoctions whipped up by MCL staff and volunteers, plus pizza from Sam’s Woodfired Pizza.
