Anna Lapwood, organ

Anna Lapwood, organ

This performance is currently sold out. Please check back later in case additional seats become available. A standby line will be formed one hour prior to the start of the performance on April 19 outside the front of Athens First United Methodist Church. Any open seats remaining in the church just before showtime will be filled from the standby line. Due to unforseen circumstances, we will not be offering an overflow room with a closed-circuit broadcast of this performance as we had previously hoped to do. “Imaginative, open-minded and a brilliant musician, the organist and conductor Anna Lapwood is the dream ambassador for classical music.”—Gramophone Organist Anna Lapwood is an associate artist of London’s world-famous Royal Albert Hall. She regularly performs concertos with leading symphony orchestras and is heard playing recitals in concert halls and churches across Europe and the United States. Anna reaches her large online audience of more than one million social media followers with her videos of performances on the Albert Hall’s grand pipe organ. She makes a rare stop in Athens with a program including favorite film scores such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Interstellar, and Star Wars, alongside works by Philip Glass and Olivia Belli.
