And So We Walked

In a tour-de-force solo performance, DeLanna Studi, Cherokee performance artist, writer, and activist, embarks on that 900-mile journey with her aging father, hoping to truly understand her own identity and her relationship to the modern Cherokee Nation. But doing so might require her to reckon with parts of herself she’s not ready to face. Slipping deftly between the past, present, and dream world, And So We Walked is a powerful and inspiring theatrical memoir that draws on extraordinary interviews, history, and the artist’s personal experience traveling the Trail of Tears.
