Featuring Da Story Weaver, Terrence Roberts This performance features the many tales of the trickster Anansi the spider. These stories feature life lessons, many that point out the consequences of bad behavior. Stories include: Anansi and the Snake (told in Jamaican dialect), Why Anansi has a little waist, Anansi and the Turtle, Fling-a-mile, Anansi and the liars contest, Anansi and the Candlefly, and others! This event is free to participants of The Oseola McCarty Youth Development Center Summer Program. Presented with support from Forrest County, Lamar County, Landry, Kitchens, and Germany Architects, Coca-Cola, and Mississippi Tank Company
