With their current EP Shoutin’ Good Time, the Western New York sextet reminds us that music requires the human spirit to give it life. This is communal Americana—tradition kept moving, not preserved behind glass. After recording primarily as a duo for 2024’s Talkin’ Destination Blues, co-founders Mikey James and Anthony Kuhn re-constituted the group as a full six-piece ensemble for Shoutin’ Good Time, expanding the palette into a spirited blend of rockabilly, ragtime, No Depression-leaning anthems, Bakersfield twang, Memphis soul, and early rhythm & blues—all anchored by James on the kit. In a three-month independent radio campaign without label support, the EP generated verified detections across 19 cities in 10 states, demonstrating organic traction in both regional and coastal markets, with repeat airplay on WART 95.5 (NC), KOWS 92.5 FM (CA), KHUM (CA), and WMVY (MA).
