About this event
Murphy Campbell is an old time ballad singer and banjo player with deep roots in the Toe River Valley of Western North Carolina. Her band features staple figures in old time music like Riley Baugus on guitar, an award winning and world renowned Appalachian musician, Trevor McKenzie, celebrated fiddler, and Grey Hyatt on bass. Together the group recorded her debut album, Revenant, a collection of over a dozen ballads from her lineage, in the historic Kona Church in Mitchell County, NC.
