An Evening with Mary Magdalene

Presented by Jennifer Norton, Agape Licensed Spiritual Practitioner, and Linda Kesselring, UBB Prayer Chaplain Join us for an evening devoted to the Apostle to the Apostles, the beloved companion of Jesus the Christ, the Anointer: Mary Magdalene. We’ll read the Gospel of Mary aloud and consider its unique message--a teaching considered so radical and threatening to power structures that political and religious leaders ordered the manuscripts destroyed. Monks tasked with transcriptions recognized its significance and saved what they could. We’ll place the Gospel of Mary in its historical context and offer a metaphysical perspective of the sacred words that Jesus spoke directly to Mary. What did Mary understand that the male apostles were eager to learn from her?
